About me
Tok Basuki is an Indonesian-born artist based in Adelaide, South Australia, recognised for his evocative and unique interpretations of the Australian landscape. With a foundation in fine art and visual communication, his work often captures the distinct character of regions through a fresh, contemporary lens.
Tok’s artistic journey began at ISI (Indonesia Art Institute) STSRI- ASRI Yogyakarta in Indonesia, and he has since furthered his qualifications through the University of South Australia (UniSA) for Graphic Design Communication and Visual Art Honours. His technical skill and creative vision have earned him notable accolades, including awarded the Water and Environment Prize as part of the 2013 Fleurieu Art Prize festival for his work, "River Branch."
